Playwrights and Poets

Through the lens of drama and poetry, we’ll dive into what family truly means and explore how our roles within it shape who we are. With a mix of inspiring reading, thought-provoking writing, and dynamic discussions, this course invites you to discover new facets of your identity and reflect on the dreams that drive you forward. Each activity will help us uncover and celebrate the unique personalities, hopes, and aspirations that make us who we are. (1 English OR 1 Elective Credit)

Outside work will be assigned as a make-up.

Credit: 1 English OR 1 Elective

Fees: Listed below are the 5 different types of student enrollment with corresponding fees:

                  I/S –             (In-School Youth) Enrolled in school and taking a class for credit to graduate from their current High School

                  REF –         (Refresher) Already have a high school diploma/GED and are taking class as a refresher /college prerequisite

                  ADP –         (Alternative Diploma) Student 18 years or older reentering school to earn an Alternative Diploma

                  OPTION 1 – (Evening Class Only) 16/17 year old student pursuing the Alternative Diploma through evening classes only

                  OPTION 2 -(Dual Enrollment)  16-18 yr. old student never withdrawn from high school, pursuing Alternative Diploma through daytime

              *Option 1 & 2 covered by School District.  Your high school guidance counselor must approve your enrollment

  • Classes meet for three hours each week on Tuesdays for a total of 45 instructional hours. Classes will be in-person but may flex to online meetings during times of bad weather.
  • Room assignments are tentative and subject to change.
  • Schedules are subject to change as necessary.
  • Classroom capacity is limited and registration will be capped accordingly
  • Remote learning for all classes will replace face-to-face instruction if and when guidance from our state and local officials deem it necessary for health and safety reasons (no refunds will be issued if this happens but our best attempt to accommodate and assist students will be made).
