Keene Community Education is working with NCCER, COABE, and the Lowe’s Foundation to offer our second Skilled Trades Pre-Apprenticeship course. Upon completion of this course, students can directly enter the workforce or move on to Construction, Plumbing, Electrical, or HVAC apprenticeships.
Topics covered in this Pre-Apprenticeship include:
- OSHA 10 Construction Safety Certification
- Construction Math
- Hand Tools
- Power Tools
- Introduction to Construction Drawings
- Basic Communication Skills
- Basic Employability Skills
- Materials Handling
Classes will meet on Saturdays from March 7 to June 20, 8 a.m. to 12 noon. Classes will meet at the Keene High School Cheshire Career Center, 43 Arch St., Keene, NH and Keene Community Education, 227 Maple Ave, Keene, NH 03431 (students will be notified each week where the next class will meet).
Tuition: $500, plus a 2.5% processing fee if registering with a credit card. All books and materials are included.
